CAE (Computer Aided Engineering)，計算力学，有限要素法によるコンピュータシミュレーションを専門として、複合材料やアディティブマニュファクチャリング（3Dプリンティング）からバイオメカニクスに至る幅広い応用分野の研究を、実験観察による数理モデリングから行っています。
Our laboratory aims at developing new techniques for CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) using Finite Element Method (FEM) with wide applications such as composite materials, additive manufacturing (3D printing) and biomechanics, including mathematical modeling based on the experimental observation. Recent interest lies in the modeling of uncertainty and/or variability and the development of stochastic computational methods.
As of December 2020, totally 13 students are studying in the laboratory, consisting of 9 master course students including 2 foreign students in the double degree program from France and 4 undergraduate students. Concerning the research topics, 6 students are working on additive manufacturing, 2 students on porous materials and 5 students on biomechanics.
